The BREWERY

Napa Valley Brewing Company was founded in 1987 and sits on the grounds of the historic Calistoga Inn. It was the first commercial brewery in Napa County since the end of prohibition in 1933. We brew five principle beers: American Wheat Ale, Palisades Pilsner, Calistoga Red Ale, West Coast I.P.A. & Blue Collar Porter. In addition, other seasonal beers are brewed throughout the year, such as the German Kölsch, Blitzen I.P.A., Pacific Pale Ale, Hazy IPA & Dugan Oatmeal Stout.

All of the brewery's production is served at the Calistoga Inn, and we offer your choice of beer to go in both 16 oz. cans and 64 oz. growlers. We have a 7-barrel gas fired brewhouse that was originally designed by Dr. Michael Lewis of UC Davis. Our current total annual production is about 450 barrels. After a long day of wine tasting, there's nothing like a cold beer on the patio at the Calistoga Inn.

BREWMaster

Nick started home-brewing in his parents garage and quickly realized he wanted to brew bigger. He received a brewing education from UC Davis Extension in 2017 and started his professional brewing career in San Francisco, CA at Barebottle Brewing. He then went on to become the Head Brewer of Buck Wild Brewing in Oakland, CA where he won over 10 medals for the beer created there.

Nick Bartlett, Brewmaster

Nick's passion is to create the best tasting beer possible. He loves a great, refreshing European lager as well as a clean and aromatic west coast IPA. When he's not at the brewery you can find him hiking up the nearest mountain or traveling to new places with his wife Lori.
